Inspection using TeraHertz NDT
TeraHertz energy can be used to inspect a variety of non-metallic materials such as foams, insulations and plastics.
TeraHertz NDT can be used to detect features within materials and to determine the condition of underlying surfaces.
The inspection data is displayed as an image, similar to a heat-map.
Concealed surface inspection
TeraHertz NDT is used to ‘see through’ foams and insulations. In specific applications, such as pipeline inspection, the condition of the underlying surface can be determined.
Anomalies, such as damp areas, within the foams and insulations are detected.
TeraHertz NDT can detect a range of defects within plastic materials. Internal defects within components and assemblies can be viewed using transmission imaging.
