Subtera is providing facility operators with personalised proof of concept field trials to demonstrate our capabilities in your own operational environment. This will enable you to validate the use of our unique technology as part of your planned inspection and maintenance campaigns. Subtera’s inspection personnel are certified NDT inspectors, and if required, are rope access qualified with offshore experience.

When implementing a field trial, we follow a standardised approach comprising three distinct phases:

1. Preparation

Conducted remotely, this phase ensures that the activity is planned correctly.

  • Use case preparation: gathering available data from site
    (e.g. identify assets and related information)
  • Organisational tasks according to site requirements: list of personnel, list of equipment, etc.;
  • Logistical planning: dates, flights, accommodation, etc.;
  • Safety pre-trainings (if required, e.g. online classes, etc.);

2. Inspection

Subtera will work closely with your team while at your facility.

  • Safety induction from site;
  • Site survey of pre-identified assets;
  • Determine location of:
    • Battery charge points;
  • Attain required permits;
  • Execution of inspections:
    • Collection of inspection data;
    • Collection of images of inspected assets using Subtera software (ATEX certified laptop)
    • Generation of inspection reports;

3. Evaluation

Conducted remotely, this phase analyses the field trial activity.

  • Review of inspection data;
  • Preparation of a detailed report;
  • Presentation of results to customer;
